Bamboomoves offers yoga classes to suit all levels. Our classes are based on the 8-limbed system of yoga and incorporate hands-on adjustments, musicality, and breathing techniques to move students to a deeper place of awareness, strength, and inner peace. Each class is formed through inspired movement, immersion in the moment, and spiritual insight. With consistent practice, students can experience increased strength and flexibility, focus and balance, mental clarity and inner tranquility. Tai-Chi
Chi/Ki-energy circulation, breathing and movement techniques in serene sequential forms. A proven method for good health maintenance and self-defense, Tai-Chi strengthens the body without risk of strain or injury. It also aids in recovery of many illnesses, such as arthritis, stress-related problems, back pain and joint injuries. We teach the Yang Style 24-Forms.
Energy Training
A class that combines elements of yoga and tai-chi into forms and movements that work the body and mind on a deeper, energetic level. This class is for students looking to experience energy and deep meditation and is suitable for all levels.
Meditation & Breathing
This class goes delves into yogic philosophy and lets students explore and connect with their deeper selves. Classes may include pranayama (breathing techniques), chanting, discussion/lecture, and meditation.
Belly Dancing
A beautiful and graceful dance, originating in the Middle East, Belly Dancing strengthens and awakens the core muscles while moving sensually to rhythmic song. Class is open level - suitable for beginners as well as those with bellydance experience. Sorry guys, class is for women only.
Ballet An open-level ballet class suitable for anyone interested in learning the fundamentals of classical ballet. The class will introduce ballet vocabulary, technique, and alignment with additional focus on grace, musicality, and expression through movement. Ballet shoes are recommended but barefoot or socks are ok as well.
Capoeira
Capoeira is an art form created from the experiences of African slaves during the colonial period of Brazil. Incorporating music, singing and acrobatics, capoeira is a game of negotiation through movement, facilitating self-expression and empowering defense. Classes introduce fundamental movements and their application within capoeira games accompanied by traditional rhythms. Flexibility, strength, balance, creativity and aerobic conditioning—this is a high-intensity class open to anyone interested in challenging their physical limits.
No experience required. Open level. Loose-fitting pants recommended, bare feet preferred.
